COMMUNITY WORKSHOPS
Hands-on. Small-batch. Always creative.
Whether you're looking for a unique night out, a creative outlet, or your first hands-on experience with clay, Slip Ceramics offers a rotating lineup of beginner-friendly workshops, ongoing community classes, and special studio collaborations designed to inspire and engage.
Here is a look at what we offer:
Ghost Date Night: A romantic, wheel-throwing experience inspired by the iconic pottery scene. Perfect for couples, fun nights out, and fully BYOB-friendly.
Hand-Built Planter Workshop: Craft your own custom ceramic planter with an integrated drainage dish using slab-building techniques—functional, tactile, and fun.
Mug Making Class: Build your own signature ceramic mug by hand—great for gifting or elevating your daily morning rituals.
Collaborative & Guest Artist Workshops: We regularly partner with local Nashville artists, makers, and small businesses to host one-of-a-kind creative gatherings. From specialty craft pairings to guest artist-led sessions, these pop-up events offer unique ways to explore clay alongside other creative mediums.
Slip Casting Workshop: Learn the fundamentals of slip casting using plaster molds to create clean, repeatable forms. Ideal for anyone curious about production techniques or sculptural design.
Seasonal & Themed Events: From autumn pumpkin lanterns and holiday ornaments to solstice gatherings and community nights, our seasonal schedule celebrates the moment in clay.
No experience necessary. All tools, clay, glazes, and firings are included. To ensure direct, personal instruction and a relaxed, welcoming environment, our workshops are intentionally kept small—with specific hands-on classes capped at just six participants.
